A voluntary survey conducted annually by Hospitals & Health Networks magazine named the University of Illinois Medical Center one of the 100 Most Wired and the 25 Most Wireless healthcare institutions for the second year in a row.
"To win this award you have to be able to demonstrate how you use electronic technology in multiple areas in the medical center," said John DeNardo, chief executive officer of the University of Illinois at Chicago Healthcare System.
