The Chicago Red Stars announced the addition of four games to the team's 2009 broadcasting schedule, last week. Two Red Stars games will be televised regionally on Comcast SportsNet and two will be webcasted through the team's website, www.chicagoredstars.

The Chicago Fire announced Thursday the launch of "FieldSide Seats - On The Pitch" that will be available for Fire home games. The FieldSide seating allows fans to sit on the field level, right next to the action happening on the pitch, while enjoying in-seat complimentary food and beverage service throughout the game.

UIC softball handled their first big Horizon League test of the season well last week, dropping cross-town rival Loyola (23-19, 11-7) in the first and third games of a three-game series.
Led yet again by the dominating pitching of freshman Ashley Hewlett, the Flames (20-21, 12-2) retained their lead in the league standings after an early outburst in game one and a late surge in game three.
