The Chicago Public Library (CPL) will be attending four of the city's biggest festivals this summer, including the Volleywood Beach Bash and Pitchfork Music Festival as part of its 'Not What You Think/ Not Where You Think' event series. The CPL will have a Library Lounge at these events where free Wi-Fi and on-the-spot library card registration will be offered.

Decoding Huntington's disease

Within the human population there has been a mysterious disease that has affected many in the late stages of life. Huntington's disease is an adult onset neurodegenerative disease marked by progressive mental and physical deterioration. It has been known for more than a decade that everyone who develops the disease has mutations in a particular gene, called huntingtin, according to Scott Brady, professor and head of anatomy and cell biology at the UIC College of Medicine.
