Last week UIC was witness to a major shift in the power relations which structure the University of Illinois.? On Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 7:45 a.m., the Graduate Employee Organization (GEO) called a strike of its members at UIUC.? Graduate Assistants and Teaching Assistants walked out of their classes, effectively halting the operations of nearly a quarter of all undergraduate classes.

Because I have been asked, I want to confess my history with libertarianism. The careful reader will note that some of my commentary intersects with libertarian commentary, particularly on the war and entitlement spending.
